FAQs
We'll try and answer all of your questions here but if we've missed anything out please email us at ian@singatthehub.co.uk
1. How much does it cost?
Your first session is £10 as that includes a Lyric Book containing over 100 titles
We then charge £8 per session.
If you book and pay for a series in advance (only available during the first two sessions) then you'll pay the equivalent of £6 per session. These are available for this series only and can't be carried over.
A series is usually between 5 and 8 weeks as we follow the school term dates.
Any additional songs will be provided free of charge.
2. Is there an audition?
Good God, no! Some of us are barely capable of tying our own shoelaces so the ability to sing is way down our list of necessary attributes.
3. Are we allowed to sing during a pandemic?
Yes. The government has removed all restrictions for choirs in England although we will have some mitigations in place. The room will be well ventilated in line with our risk assessment and we trust that if you have any symptoms then you will stay well away.
4. Can we bring our children?
Yes, but we reserve the right to charge them (£3) and expect them to join in and not just run around. They don't need to have their own book. Both choir leaders have undertaken a recent DBS check.
5. I can't make it, do I have to let you know?
No, not at all although if there's anything we can do to help then please get in touch. I'm afraid that there'll be no refunds if you've paid in advance, however.
6. Who are you?
We're Ian and Tracie Penwarden-Allan. Ian is an experienced and qualified choir conductor and Tracie is a very experienced professional singer and singing teacher.
7. Do you have a Covid-19 policy?
Yes we do. You can view our policy and Risk Assessment here.
